Mummas Wellbeing presents a 6 week Mummas Mindfulness course in Guildford.

This course starts on 18th April and runs for 6 consecutive Wednesday evenings (18th and 25th April, 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd May). Each session is 1.5 hours (7.45pm-9.15pm).

The course aims to teach you how to BE mindful. As opposed to learning the theory, the sessions teach mindfulness as a practise. 

Mindfulness is like exercise for the mind; the more you practice, the more you are able to pay attention nonjudgmentally (It’s a bit like exercising - the more you practice using a muscle, the stronger it will be). Each session will include 3 mindfulness practices and a short theory slot regarding an aspect of mindfulness.

You wouldn’t believe the benefits to physical and emotional wellbeing. It even helps with management of pain and sleep issues! NICE recommend mindfulness based therapies for depression and anxiety, but this course is suitable for anyone wanting to learn to be more intune with their self, to find a sense of inner calmness, and manage judgements.

The sessions are based around the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy model and are run by experienced psychological therapists.
